"The Street", part of Communites In Schools' Choose Success Campaign to Keep Kids In School

Communities In Schools, the nation's largest dropout prevention organization, has launched the fourth year of its Choose Success campaign to illustrate how the decision to stay in school or dropout can critically impact a young person's future.

Choose Success is a multimedia campaign with television, radio and print components available for download.

All three of the campaign's television public service ads are available in 15, 30 and 60-second formats. "Emergency Room" "The Chase" and "The Street" take a hard-hitting look at the choices millions of young people make today and how their futures are profoundly affected by those choices.

What company can I work for in LA that will pay for my college education?

I want to go to college @ Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA but it’s quite expensive. I have applied for loans, grants, scholarships etc. But still don’t have enough finances to attend the institute. I am looking for a company that will pay for my tuition or @ least pay a portion of it. The school is for audio engineering, and music business! Thanx

Generally you have to already be in the field to be hired into a position where they will pay for education. Very few places do that now. Is there a public school you can attend for a similar education? Very difficult otherwise. I would look for some type of apprenticeship, which might be possible.

i want to become a sound tech, but i cant find an audio engineering school in california. or a university for audio engineering. all ive found is, studio recording engineer,etc.
Can i go to Cogswell College to become a sound tech?

acoustics is the field unless your going for a sound board operator like a board tech for bands or clubs a good place to learn is a columbia school of broadcasting like a dejay school the've got the sound equipment and the teachers in a college it would be communications major i think go to a library to the B&T section and ask about this and or contact a working member of the group you wish to emulate and follow their advice i did some sound when i was a guitarist and roady for a few bands

I am doing a high school project required for graduation and I was wondering where I could find phone numbers or contact information for audio engineers that would be willing to perform an interview through e-mail or phone, etc. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Call your local radio and TV stations and ask them or ask to speak to their audio engineers yourself.

Do electronic engineers make audio equipment like headphones, amps, and speakers? And do you learn this in engineering schools in college?

Electrical Engineers would be involved in the design of Amps and Receivers. Mechanical Engineers Headphones, Speakers would be done primarily by Acoustic Physicists and Mech Engrs.

pursuing a Career in Audio Engineering?

I plan on pursuing a career and Audio Engineering and I'm trying to figure out which school I should go for. I'm considering going to SAE institute. I've also considered going to a four year university. So what do you guys think I should go for, a four year university or a private college? If anybody ever went to SAE institute then let me know how the program is.

Hello there. I wish I had someone telling me this when I had the same question a year ago. Anyway, I will just get straight to the point. SAE is an institute, although they offer a degree course, the bottom line is it's still an institute. In my opinion, SAE is ideal for those who focus on getting 'a' certificate within a limited time. Hence if you are interested in something more than 'a' certificate, you do not want to go to SAE. Of course in the media industry, it's all down to how well you perform but if you want to really study in a proper environment, you should look into four year universities. Hope this helped.
