What are my chances for a Princeton Admission in Electrical Engineering?
I applied early to Princeton. I live in Kuwait, but my nationality is Indian. Our school doesn't give ranks but I know that I am in the top 10-15%. My grades are usually 3 A's and 2 B's. My SAT scores are good – 2150/2400.
I got 730 in Reading (97 Percentile), 760 in Math (98 Percentile), and a 660 in Writing (92 Percentile).
I got the perfect SAT II score, 800 in Physics, Chem, and Math Level II. I have a lot of extracurriculars – debating, public speaking, basketball, music, quiz…
My recommendations are very good. I do mean VERY good.
My essays were good, but I'm not sure they were astounding.
Please give me honest opinions, if you need more info, message…
Thank You.
and I am applying for financial aid.
chances are good, we have affirmative action here
Is the University of Notre Dame (the one in Indiana) a good school?
I think Notre Dame has an overall rank of 18 or 19 on the US News Best Colleges and UC Berkeley came 21st.
I’d like to study chemical engineering and I want to apply to UC Berkeley, but I recently got a mail from the University of Notre Dame saying I have great potential and inviting me to visit the campus.
Is it a good school? Esp. for chemical engineering?
Thanks!
First off Norte Dame is not an Ivy League as the other posted stated. UC Berkeley has a better program for what your interested in. I would still check Norte Dame’s campus out, tho. They have a good program so if you pick them, your still getting a great education. It may end up to money and location. Good Luck!
Am i qualified to join the University Of California at Berkly? ?
I am a sophomore attending Townview Science and Engineering High School (ranked 4th in Newsweek( http://www.newsweek.com/id/39380)) i have a 3.2 point average, but i don’t know my SAT scores. If i raise my gpa to 3.4-4.0 will that help me get into my dream University??
Yes anything is possible just set your mind to it and you can do it. Push yourself to your limits….think of it this way when you have a big test…”If I dont get an A+ on this test I will die” think of it as a life or death situation…take things seriously and pay lots of attention…chew gum in class to stay focused and take lots of notes…if you study for a test in 15 minute sessions for a week I gurantee you will get an A+. Good luck to ya man and hopefully your dreams come true.
Why does my old college want to make everyone into an overacheiver?
I used to attend engineering school, and will be returning part time this coming school year. However, I am not sure I will finish because of the senior design course. In that course, they push EACH and EVERY person there and interfere unduly in people's lives in order to make everyone into overacheivers. I was rejected from the engineering honor society for not being part of the "in crowd" and for having a life outside of the engineering college. I feel that they are going too far to increase their ranking and make themselves look good. It also seems like they are only trying to get more funding because of severe budget reductions, and are using students to achieve that goal. They constantly say "teamwork, teamwork, teamwork" in the first part of their brochure and the majority of the second part only cites internship/co-op statistics. The right hand side features more of the same from one of the overachievers. How can I get more comfortable with this so I can graduate?
Sounds like you definitely picked the wrong school. They want leaders and kids who are driven to do their best, and you want to take it easy.
Why don't you look for some lower level school where you can laze around and get the degree that will show how you really feel about your profession..
