Need to know where the navy nuclear engineering program is? ?
My fiance leaves Feburary 23, but when he is done with basic he is going straight to A school. But I don’t know the name of the base exactly where its at or anything and neither does he. All i know is that it is in or around Charleston. Also when he gets done with basic in April would he be able to take time for our ceremony? Because they told us he would go straight to Charleston? I’m really worried about all this and need good advice on these things also housing etc. Also whats it like being a Navy wife? I know its going to be hard and all but what do you do when they leave how do you get past that pain of them being gone?
-Just need help
Im from Charleston and im familiar with the base- its the Nuclear school on the naval weapons station in charleston,sc. After he leaves bootcamp, he will go to school. But for Nuclear- its a very long school. Because he is going to school, there is no leave time between basic and school. the only way he will be able to take some time is if he has a time period before his class starts. As you are not yet married, he will reside in base barracks. being a sailor myself, being gone isnt so bad, i mean depends on his duty he might not be gone so much on his next duty station. All in all, no matter what, be supportive and be behind him 100% as he goes through his career and things will go smoothly.

* 1. Oil companies realize they are liquid transportation companies
and start to move fresh water to needy places on the planet.
* 2. Major engineering companies respond to rising seas and create
canals that take the excess water into barren lowlands inside the
continents where it is needed.
* 3. The national military forces of the planet merge to form
natural security teams and restore their respective parts of the earths
forests, plant life, watersheds, wildlife and the biosphere above all
that.
* 4. That schools recognize that content is already available on
line and change their courses to life skills, learning based pursuits, and
a new partnership with nature.
* 5. That Universities build upon the science of conscious
evolution, a visionary mindset, and life force living intelligence and then
structure their experience based curricula to that end.
* 6. That government decentralizes into bioregions and organizes
military units, school kids, fire departments and others to generate food
foraging forests in all available sites for complete global food
security.
* 7. That neighborhoods take on a wide variety of energy producing
solutions to become fully independent but not totally separate from the
power grid.
* 8. That web-based democracies attend to their regionally based
constituents and use the global web intelligence system to optimize local
living. 9. That railheads, airports, and warehouses converge to be
able to launch global air rescue missions that deliver major emergency
living villages to all peoples globally within hours of a disaster.
* 10. That the global public achieves a clear unifying identity and
the pre-emptive political power to defang the nuclear arsenal and its
fear based factions while offering alternative product lines for the
military industrial complex.
* 11. That we accept the notion that life is more likely to exist in
the galaxy than not and prepare for the real benefits of new
connections.
* 12. That we embrace a new level of profound simplicity and
reintroduce creativity as a replacement for things and mindless entertainment.

How much do nuclear engineers make and where is a good college in iowa to go to to become a nuclear engineer?
I am looking into becoming a nuclear engineer and i was wondering how much they make and where are some good colleges to go to in iowa. I've heard Iowa State University is a good engineering school but i wanted to see if there are any better schools in Iowa.
There is a very high demand for nuclear engineers, at this time far exceeding the supply. This makes for a very competitive market, starting salaries of $50-$90K with senior engineers making well over $100K. There are many grants, scholarships and intern programs being developed by nuclear organizations in an attempt to increase the number of students entering the nuclear field. I have attached some links to lists of colleges which offer nuclear engineering, scholarships and pay estimates. You can start a general engineering degree (like mechanical engineering) and then get into a nuclear graduate program or there is plenty of work for non-nuclear engineers in the nuclear industry.
Good luck!
Career Help?
If I was interested in a career as a nuclear engineer (which I am) and I was planning on going to the Naval Academy (which I am) are there any other engineering schools out there that you might recommend? Also, how much money does a nuclear engineer make and how much can they potentially make? thanks ![]()
Just do your research on schools that offer engineering and you should be able to find some useful information. I'm actually a chemical engineering student, which apparently are recruited by the Navy for their nuclear engineering program. I've heard that nuclear engineers start at roughly $60,000 per year, then by their fourth year with the Navy are earning approximately $90,000. After four years I've heard that one has the option of re-enlisting, or one can leave the Navy and work elsewhere. A friend of mine from high school is actually a nuclear engineer with the navy… however he says that he has virtually no free time whatsoever. If you choose to attend a standard four year school before signing on with the Navy then there should be a representative there that can provide you with more detailed information
