How can a US Citizen be ran out of his country by a illegal

You should all take this to Dr. Phil who would love to debate this……..Sounds interesting..
She sounds Oriental they come here fully orientated on how to get rich fast and also many Russian woman learn how to marry a rich man and on how to get rich quick.. That is what I have heard.

Many times a stupid man deserves this for looking for younger woman then they pay the price of stupidity.

Should I pursue an audio/recording engineering career?

I'm about done high school, and this is something I'd really love to do for the rest of my life. Be it in music, film… whatever, I just want to work with sound and be able to support myself. Though, I'm facing some obstacles.

Firstly, pressure from my family, wanting me to take a more stable and conventional path (like my siblings and friends) is making me a bit discouraged. Whenever I tell people what I want to do, they look a bit surprised.

Secondly, from people in the industry I've talked to, about half say they tried and couldn't break into the industry and did something else, and the other half saying it's tough, but doable. This is also a bit discouraging.

Thirdly, I seem to have a chronic fear of "failing" at life. Say 15 years down the road, still trying to "make it", while watching my siblings and friends have good, stable jobs and a "happy" life. This may make me shallow, but it bugs me. I want to do something I love, but I feel lost…

Please, any advice is welcome.

The ONLY way you will really be a true failure is if you don't try. Trying and not succeeding is NOT failing. Please disregard what other's want you to be. This is YOUR life!! Go for it! Follow your dream and NEVER give up. Do not accept the word "No". Just because someone has a good stable job does not mean they are "happy". How do I know this? Because I played it safe and didn't follow my dream. I am not miserable now but careerwise, I could be a lot happier. Don't repeat my mistake. Go for it!!!!

Do you know how to EQ drums and other instruments to make them sound better?

my mixes are dry, without life. i need to know exact frequencies of all the cymbals and toms, snare and kick. and how much to take away at what frequency and such. just some guidelines. i dont understand how to use a parametric eq or the other para-word eq either. i have all types of computer effects and dont know how to use them well. i just got the basics on compression, but i am just the padawan learner. any help would be appreciated. im not bad with working out levels, and all the preamp jazz, getting the sound not to clip and stablizing norms. its just the mixdown sounding dull and severely lacking in power and depth. if there is a online school for becoming a recording engineer, please point me in the right direction.

Alesis Hd24 / Sonar 5 producer edition / Mackie cfx20 /good mics sm57s, good condensers / new cables / little experience

I don't know about tried and true "On Paper" technique about frequency specs and all that , i just use my ears. Have you considered checking out BBE's sonic maximizer or aural exciter stuff? They are supposed to bring punch and clarity to otherwise dull mixes.

Where to get student loans from for education in the US?

I want to study aerospace engineering and have had a above average record in school like a 92 in ICSE. I also have a nice range of extra curricular activities. Please help I am in Kolkata. Which bank which loan would be apt. I have just finished my class 12 Board Examinations.
I am from India I dont think I could get help with the FAFSA.

There are two sources for student loans — the federal government and private lenders. In order to obtain most federal student loans, you will first need to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In most<!–instances the FAFSA is required for all federal financial aid including federal student loans. Deferment options are available while you are still attending school at least half-time. There are four main federal loan programs.

Federal loan consolidation is for students who are in repayment status or parents who wish to extend the repayment period on their current PLUS and obtain a fixed interest rate for the life of the loan–>you can combine all of your eligible federal student loans into one loan with a Federal Consolidation Loan. Consolidating also locks the interest rate you pay on your loan.

how hard is it to be a music engineer?

im starting school in hollywood at The Los Angeles Recording School? i dont know what to expect

Music engineering is not like regular engineering. I'm not sure what the course requirements are, but all of the sound and music engineers I've worked with are not the types of folks that are running laplace transforms to determine optimal mic placement. If you have an ear, and a knack for computers, you'll be fine. Most of your work will be with protools anyway.
