Knowing When It Is Time To Look At Chakra Meditation

Meditation is normally considered as one of the most powerful types of understanding someone’s religious being, and in the procedure, any one can easily live a fit and attentive life. Usually different cultures adopt dissimilar meditation techniques, but if there is any commonly suitable form of meditation, it is the Chakra Meditation. Often people refer to this as Chakra Balancing, or Chakra Healing, but it really is the same process.

Understanding Chakra Meditation

Chakra Meditation is the art of balancing and energizing all the seven energy centers in the body, called Chakras, in order to align the flow of energy through them. Here’s a brief description of these seven energy centers, or the Chakras.

*Root Chakra, also famous as the Base Chakra, is located at the bottom of human spine. It is associated to the ‘Earth’ constituent, which governs our general health, safety, and richness in life.

*Orange Chakra, also called the Naval or Sacral Chakra, is situated at the center of abdomen. It is related to the ‘Water’ element, which governs our sexuality and emotions.

*The Solar Plexus, or Power Chakra. This Chakra is located right above the navel and represents the element of Fire. This Chakra is responsible for will power and metabolism.

*Heart Chakra is located exact at the middle of human chest. It is associated to the ‘Air’ feature, which often governs our approach of love, sympathy, and common relations.

*The Throat Chakra, at the base of the throat represents the element “Sound”. This Chakra is responsible for communication and creativity.

*Brow Chakra, also called The Third Eye Chakra, is situated between the brows on the forehead. It is related to the ‘Light’ element, which governs our perception, interpretation, and visualization.

*Crown Chakra is situated at the top of the head. It is related to the ‘thought’ element, which governs our wisdom, knowledge, and consciousness.

You can calm the mind by focusing on these seven important energy centers and synchronizing them. This in turn will result in lower stress and greater contentment. Chakra Meditation can also help to heal any malady which is connected to these seven Chakras.

Chakra Meditation Power

In essence, Chakra Meditation consists of three techniques, or steps which must be performed.

*Grounding Technique. As is evident from its name, the Grounding Technique makes your body feel connected with the Earth. The application of this technique is pretty simple. Just visualize a root growing from your body and entering into the Earth. Easier it may sound, but requires intense concentration and mental awareness while performing the Grounding Technique.

*Centering Method. This method is imperative as it organizes your body to obtain the advantages of Chakra Meditation. Again, the purpose of this method is not too complex. Just take 4-6 deep inhalations and feel each body component from head to toe being comfortable. This procedure involves tapering and soothing each body part from toe, and then imagining the act of a potter who middles a pot on the pottery helm.

*Relaxation Technique. The Relaxation Technique is the primary act in the entire Chakra Meditation process. Everyone has his or her own method of relaxation. Just find out your preferred mode of relaxing the body and stick to it. In a nutshell, Chakra Meditation is all about relaxing, visualizing, and directing the flow of energy through the seven energy centers (Chakras).

There are plenty of techniques of performing Chakra Meditation, the most famous are as follows

*Sit comfortably or lie down in a comfortable position.

*Loosen all your clothing so that there is no tension on any part of the body, and close your eyes.

*Breathe in a relaxed manner, which should be neither too fast nor too slow. The idea is to give up the control on your breath, and let it flow naturally, but healthily.

*Try to feel and be aware of every part of your body, beginning at your toes and moving upwards. As you do this, also become conscious of your surroundings, the grass or furniture you are sitting on. Be in the moment and relax.

*All the negative thoughts and emotions should not be avoided. Let them be! With time and regular practice, these thoughts will disappear automatically. Rather, when no such negative emotion disturbs you, that is the time when you should consider that you have perfected the art of Chakra Meditation.

*Be aware of each and every detail of your body and let your mind wander at will from one to another.

This meditation exercise is beneficial at any time of day or night and may be done for as long as you like – the longer you meditate, the better the results will be.

Chakra Meditation Explained

Chakra Meditation, or Chakra Healing aims at looking inwards as distinct from looking outwards and looking at surroundings as we do most of the time. Looking outwards often makes us forget what we are and what we are capable of. Meditation leads to our becoming aware of our potential and capabilities or in short achieving self realization. Meditation also gives the opportunity to sift, analyze and evaluate what we learn from our experiences in everyday life, thus making it possible to assimilate the correct knowledge and discard the incorrect. Moreover, chakra meditation, or also called Chakra Balancing, reduces tensions and promotes physical and mental relaxation.

The Seven Energy Centers and Chakra Meditation.

The meditation whose basic aim is to align the movement of all the seven primary Chakras in the body is termed as Chakra Meditation. Our body consists of 7 primary and over 20,000 secondary Chakras. For a better understanding of Chakra Meditation, it’s important to know what and where are the primary Chakras in the body:

*Root Chakra governing your general health, prosperity and well being is located at the base of the spine and related to the element ‘Earth’.

*Orange Chakra. This chakra lies on the naval. This is related to water which is one of the five “Panchbhutas” or elements. This governs our feelings and reproductive ability.

*Power Chakra. This chakra is also called Solar Plexus and lies on our abdomen just above the naval. This is related to the element fire which governs our metabolism. It also governs our will power and our self confidence.

*Heart Chakra. This chakra lies around our heart and is related to most important of the five elements that is the air. This controls our feelings, relationships and sense of compassion for others.

*Throat Chakra governing your sense of creativity, resonance and communication skills is located at the base of the throat and related to the element ‘Sound’.

*Brow Chakra governing your power of imagination, visualization, and interpretation is located between the brows on the forehead and related to the element ‘Light’.

*Crown Chakra governing your wisdom and knowledge is located at the top of the head and related to the element ‘thought’.

Chakra Meditation seeks to achieve harmony amongst the seven chakras which gives the spiritual fulfillment. It helps to bring out the spiritual element of our material possessions.

The synchronization of chakras promotes self healing of all physical and mental ailments.

Chakra Meditation, essentially, involves three steps or techniques.

*Grounding Technique. This technique helps you achieve the feeling of oneness with the earth. Just imagine that there is a root growing out of the base of your spine and entering the earth. This technique requires high degree of mental concentration.

*Centering Technique, which aims at preparing your body to receive the benefits of Chakra Meditation. Just take three to five deep breaths and visualize relaxation of every body part from toe to crown. In simple words, just tighten and relax each body part from toe to the crown, and then visualize the act of centering a pot on a pottery wheel.

*Relaxation Technique refers to the process whereby, the body feels relaxed by an act of visualization that suits an individual the best. Every individual is free to adopt his or her own relaxation method.

Here is one of the most common methods of performing Chakra Meditation.

*Sit or lie down comfortably.

*Every stress-causing factor should be addressed and effort should be made to reduce or eliminate the stress as far as possible. Start with loosening the clothing you are wearing. Identify other similar straining factors and eliminate them. And finally, close your eyes.

*Have relaxed rhythmic breathing at a normal breathing rate so that you have a control on your breath.

*Feel every part of your body from toe to the crown in that direction. Feel the earth you are lying on or the sofa you are seated on, feel the clothes you are wearing. Feel completely present with yourself and relaxed.

*Initially, your efforts will be met with stiff resistance from negative thoughts and emotions. Don’t suppress them! They’ll disappear with time and practice.

*Let you spirit roam in every part of your body. This is the feeling of completeness you’ve been yearning for.

This exercise can be done at any time of the day and for any duration of time. However, the longer the better!

Keeping the Body Balanced Through Chakra Balancing

The concept of ‘Chakra Balancing‘ – One of the outgrowths of modern science has been the advent of more prejudice in the minds of mankind about the significance of spirituality and survival within the physical being.

The Hindu thought of life, however, has kept the flame of spiritual-healing burning amidst the advancements in science and technology.

Our body is made up of 7 primary Chakras as well as thousands of secondary ones. the word Chakra, in fact, is a Sanskrit word meaning Wheel of Light, and these Chakras are in a constant state of rotation and vibration in a healthy body.

And so, an imbalance in the movement of these charkas results in imbalance of the overall healthy functioning of the body. Chakra Balancing then is the key to a healthy body, mind, and soul.

Chakras are called Entrance Gates of the Aura which includes and presents life-force energy through central points. Located along the central line of the body the seven primary Chakras go from the bases of the spine to the top of the head. They transmit energy to the universe, nature and other people as well as communicate energy from those same bodies.

Why do the chakras become distorted?

If one or more of the chakras are blocked, the energy will not flow properly through them. Ultimately, this will mean that there will be an imbalance among the chakras that means there will be problems in every area of life.

The harmonious functioning of Chakras can be distorted due to a number of factors, like ill health, stress, unhealthy diet, exposure to toxicity, lack of exercise, inability to express emotions, beliefs incongruent with Truth, disconnection from a higher power, childhood traumas, cultural conditioning, emotional injuries, etc.

The Key to Health and Happiness Is Truly Found in Chakra Healing

The natural harmonious functioning of Chakras is a utopian idea. Therefore, human endeavor has always been to correct this distortion and strike a fine balance between these Chakras. The concept of self-healing is also loosely based on Chakra balancing.

Chakras influence our body shape, glandular processes, chronic physical ailments, thoughts, and behavior. Chakra balancing ensures that these parameters all work towards the goal of a healthy body, mind, and soul.

Chakra balance can have very good effects:

* Attainment of overall inner peace and happiness

* Physical health and vitality

* Consciousness and being in touch with ones body

* Sexually content life without getting influenced by lust

* Awareness of ones feelings at the ethereal level

* A capacity that is enhanced with the ability to attract love into one’s life

* Having increased maturity and spiritual growth

* Healing, awareness and acceptance of spirituality

* Having a heart that is kind and affectionate

* Achieving wonderful confidence levels without being overly confident

* The realization of one’s true self and purpose in the universe.

What do you need to be successful with a chakra balance?

You can balance the chakras in many ways. You can use one or more of the following methods to achieve success when you balance your chakras.

* Healing Therapies, such as Reiki

* Yoga, meditation and breathing exercises

* Making physical exercise a part of your day

* Using color or light therapy

* Use of crystals and gems

* Balancing the chakras by using pendulums or hands

* Aromatherapy

*Utilizing touch therapy

* Positive Thinking

* Using sound frequencies that are binaural

* Affirmations and hypnosis

Our body is a reservoir of energy, in which the spent energy is released and disposed of by the body organs, and replenished, with new supplies of energies.

Chakra balancing ensures that this energy is gained and utilized by the body optimally, and all vital organs and body cells get their fair share of this energy.

In this state of optimization, inner peace, happiness and health flow naturally. Chakra Balancing is nothing but bringing the Chakras back to their natural state of vibration & frequency.
